Self-taught artist & writer - both passionate hobbies, not professions (although I wish they were). My work is amateur, but most so-called art teachers I had were unhelpful. I have a degree in Criminal Justice that's doing me no good. Writing and artwork is how I satisfy my need to create when I'm not busy being a dad, not busy with work.
Mediums include pencils, paper, pens, old computers made from salvaged parts, and DAZ3D. However, Word 2010 is the main thing. That's how I really exercise my brain, writing 130,000+ word novels that I should try to publish at some point. Preferably before I turn 40-
Oh, wait. That happened some years ago - the turning 40 part. Nevermind.
My writing and artwork mostly follows and focuses on two characters: Layla Aschenbrand and Ysabel Arroyo. I've been developing them since at least January 1993. Although they exist within the same reality, share a familial bond, and occasionally cross paths each woman has her own series. I've created many other original characters - human and inhuman, from various periods of history - in the same setting. These include Deshret al-Fazil, Delilah the Qarinah, Detective Kane McKellen, Zenobia...
Additionally I have a Sword & Sorcery world and a Horror Fantasy setting, each with their own original characters like Sha'lith and Christine and Ashley Somerset. There have been some futuristic concepts, too, like Private Investigator Qalira Porter. Another "modern world" setting is an homage to Grindhouse films, Blue Movies, and adult magazines of the 1960's, 70's and 80's featuring Dakota Ravensong and Doll Hayes.
Regarding the kind of art I like and what I look for: I'm sure it's obvious that I love women - probably above all else - but I also love nature and landscapes. If any of them happen to be exotic relative to me I usually like that, too.
A note on my own work: anything I do might be replaced with updates, remakes, and alternate versions at any time. Consider everything a WIP.
I do not take requests and, no, I am not available for commission. I'm very sorry about that, but my computer can barely handle what I ask of it for myself. I cannot and will not take on projects for someone else that I may or may not be able to deliver.
thanks for the watch and the likes
